The journey to wellness and physical fitness has many paths. I'm Kathy McAlpine Terpstra and I'm here to guide you on your way. You are made of more than just your physical body. Your body along with your mind and spirit, play important roles on your journey.

There is a lot of research backing these claims, and I will help you to make sense of it.


When you think of fitness, what comes to your mind? Spending hours in the gym? Or logging mile upon mile on the treadmill. Health and wellness comes from many different aspects of your life. Exercise and a strong body are just one of them.

Take a look at the following list. How do these things affect your life and your journey to health? Give it some real thought.  If you're being honest with yourself, some things about your life may need to change.


  • Exercise - are you getting enough of the right kind?
  • Stress - is it real or perceived?
  • Sleep - do you get enough?
  • Nutrition - what do you feed yourself?
  • Attitude - is yours positive or negative?
  • Relationships - do yours have a positive or negative effect on your life?

I take a holistic approach to health which means that I look at every aspect of your life as it relates to your body. I invite you to journey through my website to find information that will help you on your path.

I have been active all of my life and I know the benefits of being physically fit, but I also know it's not always easy to get and stay motivated.  I can help you !

At my home studio Symmetry and Soul you will have fun learning about yourself. I will teach you how to improve your health in many different ways. You will enjoy learning about physical fitness and doing exercise and fitness classes.

If you prefer, we can work one on one, or bring a friend if you want. We can workout in a semi private setting.

Attend my experiential interactive health related workshops to further your learning in a more social setting. Lot's of fun and educational too! Let's find out what you're made of, and what you want out of life.
